After giving up the Bar, Mr. Hornby travelled extensively in Europe, Turkey and Egypt. He then settled for some time, before his marriage, in the Isle of Skye, and subsequently lived for a short time on the Scottish mainland. Thereafter, he moved for five years to Lezayre, Ramsey, Isle of Man, finally settling in Bedford.
