He was born about 1643/4 in Narragansett, , RI.⁴ The extensive text by Andrews Moriarty leaves little doubt that Herodias Long was Benoni's mother, and that he was conceived while whe was still married to John Hicks. There also appears to be no doubt that George Gardner is Benoni's father. Benoni died on 16 November 1729 in So. Kingston, Washington, R.I.. He died in 1731.
